Darwin Walker has been involved with the East St. Louis Community Camp since 2005 when he began as a camp counselor (not to mention he was a former camper at the age of 10). Darwin‘s involvement grew in 2009 when he accepted the position of Camp Director.
He was elected to the board in 2010 and has served on committees and as the Board Vice-President, bringing his experience as a volunteer organizer, team encourager and goal oriented leader. Darwin has been integral in the development and growth of the New Life Community Church Worship Arts Ministry as it has bloomed from 40 to over 150 volunteers under his leadership.
With Darwin’s passion for the children of East St. Louis (of which he is one), we are laying the foundation for the East St Louis Community Camp to continue its mission far into the future, serving the inner city children of East St Louis (and surrounding areas), and being a beacon of hope and encouragement for many years to come.
